Winstrol (active ingredient – stanozolol) – anabolic steroid available in tablets and solution for injection (Winstrol Depot). Winstrol was developed in 1962 in Winthrop Laboratories. It is a synthetic steroid derivative of dihydrotestosterone approved by the FDA for use by people (stanozolol originally was developed for use in animals (horses)). Stanozolol is an antagonist of progesterone. There is evidence that the drug protects against the action of progestogen nandrolone. Unlike most forms of stanozolol injection is an aqueous suspension.
Synonyms: Strombafort, Stanover, Nabolik, Stanazolik, Strombadzhekt, Stromba, Menabol, stanols, Terabon, Tsetabon and others.
Winstrol tablets have high bioavailability and stability (in the liver is not destroyed during the passage) through the alkyl group in the 17-alpha position, but it does stanozolol tablets toxic to the liver. However, the injectable form is also not devoid of this shortcoming, the difference in the toxicity and bioavailability of both forms of the steroid is minimal.
